Dental hypnosis in Paris 15, for more pleasant treatment

Many of you have a real phobia of the dentist. The noise of the instruments and the vibrations caused by the use of the equipment during treatment can make you feel uncomfortable and stressed… Even to the point of no longer consulting! To get rid of your fears, Dr Amouzgar, a dental surgeon in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, offers to combine hypnosis with your dental treatment. As well as relaxing you and giving you peace of mind, it’s an excellent way to improve your body’s pain-relieving powers.

Some post-procedures can be complex, depending on the individual and the general state of the body. Dr. Amouzgar uses hypnosis to improve analgesia and enhance your body’s ability to heal when, for example, dental implants are required. By immersing yourself in an altered state of consciousness, you’ll no longer be bothered́ by the sensations that used to give you trouble. You’ll be in a place that will be a tranquil event for you, and you’ll be enveloped in serenity.

Doctor Amouzgar's method: how is hypnosis practiced?

Dental hypnosis is based on the main principles of Ericksonian hypnosis. The aim is to lead the person into a state of reverie (a physiological state that is present in all of us), leaving the patient free to choose the injunction that suits him or her. This state of altered consciousness, once induced, makes for a comfortable, peaceful experience.

Dr Amouzgar encourages you to practice self-hypnosis, so that you can put your phobia behind you and become autonomous enough to accept treatment. Self-hypnosis can also be used to treat other complicated situations: sleep disorders, anxietý, anguish, chronic pain, traumatic shock…

When is dental hypnosis useful?

Some patients have developed a phobia at the thought of visiting a dentist, triggering panic attacks and even nausea. Hypnosis can help you relax during dental treatment.

The relaxed state engendered by hypnosis increases the secretion of serotonin and free endorphins circulating in your body, so your aches and pains and their memories will be far behind you, and your sense of well-being will increase.

As the hypnotic state induces the secretion of analgesic and well-being hormones, the after-effects of surgery will be pleasant and easier to manage.

You may be allergic to a local anesthetic, or the local anesthetic may cause a reaction in you. The use of hypnosis avoids the need for local anesthesia (preparation with several sessions of hypnosis and self-hypnosis is necessary).

Hypnotherapy with Docteur Amouzgar, a comprehensive therapeutic approach

Hypnosis is not limited to dental practice. In fact, hypnotherapy has been proven to relieve deeper problems. Anxiety attacks, anxietý, depressive states…. Consultations with a hypnotherapist and regular practice of self-hypnosis will help to achieve the therapy goal agreed between therapist and patient (e.g. disappearance of anxiety attacks).
